You may not be a good candidate for micropigmentation if you have any of the below conditions.

Clients with the below AutoImmune conditions have compromised immune systems which may greatly affect the healing process or health of the client. For safety, We cannot perform micropigmentation services on clients with these conditions.
  • Diabetes Type 1 - Doctor’s note is required

  • Cancer - Must be out of active chemotherapy for a minimum of 8 months

  • Lupus

  • Hepatitis B/C

  • HIV / AIDS

Blood Disorders are at high risk for excessive bleeding and poor results. For safety, We cannot perform micropigmentation services on clients with these conditions.
  • Sickle Cell 

  • Hemophilia

Skin Conditions inherently cause you to be more sensitive, bleed easily, and have more dryness, flaking, or shedding. If you have any of the below on your face, you may not be a good candidate
for micropigmentation services, this includes brows, eyes, and lips.
We are not able to microblade over scarring, moles,
bumps, piercings, or keloids.
  • Severe Acne

  • Severe Rosacea

  • Accutane - must be off for 6 months

  • Steroids - must be off for 6 months

  • Keloid Formations

  • Antibiotics - must be off for 2-4 weeks



  • Cold Sores

  • Shingles

  • Impetigo

  • Psoriasis

  • Pink Eye

  • Vitiligo


  • Brow Laminations: Please understand that laminations soften the hair to create a “fluffier” eyebrow look. If you do not want this look done with a micropigmentation then please refrain from getting a lamination done prior to your appointment.

  • If you are looking for a fluffier look please get lamination done 2 weeks prior to appointment.

  • After Micropigmentation please wait 6-8 weeks to start laminating your eyebrows again.

  • Please do not come to your appointment with freshly tinted, dyed, or henna on your brows, We will be unable to do the appointment and will send you home and you will be responsible for 100% of the service amount.

  • Avoid tanning / Sun exposure 14 days prior and after your procedure. If you come to your appointment with a tan or sunburn, you will need to reschedule and will forfeit your deposit. As your skin exfoliates from sun damage, it will take the pigment with it.

  • Do not schedule this procedure within two weeks prior to a water/and or sun vacation. You will need to stay out of steam rooms, saunas, hot yoga, swimming pool, etc. after the procedure.

  • No Botox, fillers, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, facials of any sort for 2 weeks before and after. Injections (Botox, Radiesse, JuveDerm, Voluma, etc.) must be done 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after the procedure.

  • Chemical peels and laser treatments may not be done within 60 days before or after the procedure.

  • Retinol/Retin-A must be discontinued 7 days prior to the procedure (It will cause the skin to bleed).

  • ​​Please stop shaping, waxing, threading or tinting at least 10 days prior. We will shape the treatment area to give you a natural look and feel. Any stray hairs will be taken during the appointment.

  • Avoid any blood thinners 5 days prior and 24hrs after Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, fish oil or vitamin E 3 days prior to procedure unless medically necessary.

  • Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior & caffeine 12 hours prior. These can cause excessive bleeding and affect pigment retention.


  • Blot eyebrows for the first 1-2 hours with a clean, dry tissue to remove any excess lymph or blood from the area

  • Wash with soap twice a day am and pm for 10-14 days using clean fingers or a cotton round- use 1-2 pumps of soap and clean in a wiping motion, no hard scrubbing or circular motion and rinse with cool water

  • Apply a small amount of aftercare balm (less is best!) 3 times a day directly to brow area using clean fingers or a q-tip for 10-14 days

  • Do not pick at brow area or scabs as they healing

  • Keep all skincare products and make-up away from the eyebrow area for 10-14 days. once they are fully healed keep all anti-aging and acne products off of them

  • Keep area dry: no sauna, sweating, swimming ect for 10-14 days

  • In the shower be cautious of running water hitting them directly, use shields provided to help keep them dry

  • No direct sun exposure for 10-14 days. use spf stick or balm after they are fully healed to protect them

  • Contact your physician at the first signs of infection or abnormal swelling

  • Make sure your follow-up appointment is 12-16 weeks after your initial appointment



  • If you have any history of cold sores, fever blisters, or herpes simplex, you must contact your physician to obtain and take the proper prescription medication to prevent such outbreaks for at least 4 days before and after the procedure.

  • No Lip Filler/treatments 3 weeks before procedure (or 4 weeks after)

  • No tanning/excessive sun exposure 2 weeks before the procedure (and 2 weeks after).

  • Do not drink alcohol 24 hours beforehand and avoid caffeine the day of your procedure.

  • Do not take any blood thinning medications (unless prescribed by a doctor for medical reasons) one week before your appointment (aka: Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, Ibuprofen, etc)

  • Although clients typically heal quicker from lips please plan your apt around any events or vacations accordingly.

  • Please eat before the procedure, your lips will be swollen and you may have some discomfort before you feel comfortable eating again.

  • Please exfoliate your lips 3-5 days prior and keep lips as moisturized as possible 14 days prior to appointment. Working on dry or scaly lips is very difficult and results will not be desirable.

  • Do not over scrub to the point that you have raw or compromised skin.

  • Cosmetic tattooing is a process. Two or three sessions may be required to achieve the desired results. If you have questions regarding the pre-procedure form please reach out to us! We look forward to working with you.


  • You will experience swelling and scabbing especially in the first few days. 

  • Please apply the moisturizing balm frequently. Keeping your lips moisturized will help the healing process immensely!  

  • Do not eat or drink (except water), for the first 3 hours following the procedure. Please try to use a straw while the lips are healing. 

  • Do not rub, pick at, or try to exfoliate shedding skin away. If the area is itchy, this is normal, please refrain from scratching. Picking at the shedding skin may pull the pigment with it and affect your retention, so just let them do their thing! And never touch your lips with unwashed hands.

  • No tanning or Sun exposure for 14 days after. Sun damage causes the skin to exfoliate quicker, which will affect your pigment retention. ​

  • Aside from applying the healing balm, Do not get your lips wet! This includes in the shower, sauna, sweating, swimming, and bath/hot tub for 10-14days after the procedure.

  • You can use lip makeup/gloss on lips after 14 days. 

  • It is normal as you are going through the healing process for the pigment to fade, change or disappear completely and reappear weeks later. Healing is a journey! Please also keep in mind that permanent makeup is a multipart process.



  • It is important for this area to be clean and free of makeup, pressed powders and moisturizers

  • For best results, please grow your eyebrow hairs and avoid trimming, threading, waxing, or plucking for up to 10 days prior


  • Do not with eyebrows wet for 24 hours

  • Let Regenerating balm sit on your eyebrows for 24 hours- Do not wash off

  • Moisturize eyebrows twice daily using Intoxicated Cosmetics Snail Serum

  • Brush hairs daily with a spool to keep hairs in place

  • Style eyebrows using a Brow soap or brow gel to "fluff" hairs up or lay hairs however you like to enhance your style

  • Book your next lamination in 6-8 weeks



  • Do not tan two weeks prior or have a sunburn

  • Do not work out the day of the procedure (excessive oils in the skin can prevent the pigment from retaining)

  • Exfoliate your scalp the night before your procedure to remove any dead skin

  • Wash your hair on the morning of your procedure

  • Do not use hair/scalp oils, serums, or wax products on the day of your procedure

  • Avoid any blood thinners 5 days prior and 24hrs after, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, fish oil or vitamin E, unless medically necessary

  • Do not drink alcohol 24 – 48 hours before 

  • Do not consume caffeine/ energy drinks 24 hours before


  • Use a fresh pillowcase

  • Do not wet the treated area for 3 days after the treatment. This give the skin a chance to seal in the pigment and ensure water doesn’t dilute the pigment

  • When showering, limit your showers so you do not create too much steam. Keep your face out of the water while you wash your body, then, at the end of your shower, wash your hair. Your face should only be getting wet at the very last end of the shower, avoiding excessive rinsing and hot water on the treated area. Do not shampoo or exfoliate for the first 5-10 days as this can disrupt healing.

  • Avoid hot showers, sauna, or swimming for 14 days

  • Avoid heat, sweating, and exercise for 14 days

  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after the procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors. 

  • Avoid topical makeup or sunscreen on the area until fully healed

  • Do NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of pigment and patchy healed results
