Which Technique Fits Your Skin?

Most brow regrets happen when the wrong technique is used on the wrong skin type. At MOKO, we start with a biology check. If you have oily or combination skin, traditional microblading can blur over time. We use nano brows (machine hair strokes) to ensure your strokes stay crisp—think of it as the oil-proof hair stroke option. If you have normal-to-dry skin, microblading still works beautifully. And if you want a polished, filled-in look or you fill your brows daily anyway, powder or ombré brows give you soft, waterproof definition 24/7.

The Eyebrow PMU Process

WHAT TO EXPECT

  1. 1

    Consultation & Mapping

We analyze your skin texture (oily vs. dry) to pick the safest technique for retention.. We map, shape, symmetry, and proportion before any pigment is placed—so the design fits your face, not a trend.

  2. 2

    Technique Selection

We choose nano, microblading, or shading based on skin type, natural brow hair, lifestyle, and desired finish. We build your brows stroke by stroke and pixel by pixel.

  3. 3

    Healing & Touch-up

You’ll receive aftercare guidance and a healing timeline. Typically 7-10 days of surface healing. A touch-up is required 10-12 weeks later to lock in color and density for long-term results.

Permanent eyebrow makeup is a family of semi-permanent techniques designed to enhance your brow shape, balance, and fullness — with results that look natural, not tattooed. The choice comes down to hair strokes or soft shading. Hair strokes (nano brows, microblading) create realistic texture. Soft shading (powder, ombré) delivers polished definition. The right technique depends on your skin type, brow hair, and the look you want.

Important Information

Common Questions

Straight answers to the questions people ask before committing to permanent eyebrows.

How long do permanent eyebrows last?

Typically 2-4 years depending on technique, lifestyle, and skin type. Nano Brows tend to fade more evenly compared to Microblading.

What’s the difference between nano brows, microblading, and powder brows?

Each technique differs in application method, appearance, and suitability. The best option depends on skin type and desired result.

Does eyebrow PMU hurt?

Most clients describe the sensation as mild to moderate discomfort. Topical numbing is used for comfort.

Can you fix old brow tattooing or previous PMU?

Sometimes. It depends on the current pigment color, saturation, and placement. In some cases, correction may require a plan that includes lightening first. We generally require a clear photo or in-person consultation before booking. Cover-ups often require Powder Brows or Nano to correct color and shape.
